ON THIS PAGE YOU CAN FIND ALL TYPES OF SITES THAT SUPPORT THE TROOPS.
NOTICE If you click on a site + it doesn't load just cut + paste it + put it in your web browser. Please contact me if you find any sites that won't load Thanks' John marinevet66to68@comcast.net ******************************************** We have thousands of soldiers who receive individual support from supporters. Each soldier is assigned 4 - supporters, depending on their need. It's free for any deployed soldier to sign up - and often their family enrolls them on their behalf, as many of our soldiers do not have Internet access. You can read more @ our website, which was begun by a mother whose son was in Iraq, needing the most basic supplies
******************************************************************* Hi John, I hope you can support our care package program by letting the public know about it on your website.
Operation Courage is Beautiful sends female-oriented care packages, including personal hygiene and beauty products, to our deployed soldiers in hopes of providing a bit of morale support. Over the last three years, we have sent over 5000 lbs. or nearly 2000 care packages. OCIB is a non-profit project supported by Stylesynch.com, VFW Post 3787, and the San Diego Armed Services YMCA.
Product donations are also collected for inclusion in the care packages. Please see our website for more information. http://www.operationcourage.org/donate.
Thanks for your support!

Hello Friends and Family. I am forming a group in Oceanside, California to support Wounded Warriors. I believe in this project with all my heart and if we can get just one smile and make one person happy we are a success. I am looking for people in the San Diego area that are interested in the Wounded Warrior Project. I'm not asking for money, I'm asking for you to donate time to theses hero's and their families. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors. WWP seeks to assist those men and women of our armed forces who have been severely injured during the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations around the world. For more information, please call 877 TEAM WWP (832-6997) or visit http://woundedwarriorproject.org/. *************************************************** Ken Meyer I need your help: I run a charity for our troops called OPERATION: A Bit of Home. My website is http://www.abitofhome.org/. We collect DVD movies and build free DVD lending Libraries for our soldiers overseas. We have built libraries at FOB STRYKER, ... Freedom Rest I, Freedom Rest II in Iraq and The wounded warrior project at Kandahar and at FOB Walton in Afghanistan.
At this moment we are building a free DVD lending Library for the Veterans at the VA Hospital in Temple TX. Many of these vets are in hospice, can't move other than to blink, and can't leave their beds. These movies break the tedium of 24/7 TV.
Everyone has DVD movies at home that they don't like, don't want, and don't want to throw away. We ask you to send us those movies and we build and send the library collections. If you ask at work, and amongst family and friends, you can easily collect 100 DVD's. Many people have!
Donations are made in your name and you will receive a tax deductible receipt from the VA.
If you have DVD movies, please send them to me. You can send 25 in a flat rate box from the post office. If you have a portable player with an attached screen, we need those also. If you just want to help with money, donations are always welcome.
Lets keep doing great things through this site. I know many of you would like to help, please do. Many of these heroes fought Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo, and now they are fighting the final fight of their lives. Please help me make it a little easier.
Message me and I will send you the information. I hope you feel the pull to make this simple gesture that means so much.

Due to common military practices, any veterans who served between 1940 and 1970 have a risk of developing asbestos-related illnesses. Additionally, Navy personnel and workers employed in shipyards from the 1930s through the 1970s hold a greater risk of developing a disease caused by asbestos exposure. Of the 25 million living individuals who have served in the United States Armed Forces, hundreds of thousands, if not millions of these living veterans were exposed to toxic asbestos-containing materials during military service. Widely used by every military branch, asbestos was highly regarded for its heat resistance and fireproofing capabilities. Most military divisions utilized the caustic substance mainly for insulation purposes, but more than 300 products containing asbestos were used by the military, primarily by the Navy. In fact, asbestos was so valued that the military even mandated widespread usage before eventually phasing out the material in the 1970s. Exposure to asbestos has proven to result in a wide range of health conditions, including mesothelioma, a deadly cancer that attacks the lining of the lungs, heart or abdomen. Due to a long latency period, mesothelioma symptoms (shortness of breath, severe cough, chest pain) may not appear for 20 or more years. For this reason, mesothelioma is often diagnosed in later stages of development, which severely complicates treatment and chances of survival. More than 30 percent of Americans beset with mesothelioma were exposed to asbestos during military service. Asbestos dot com offers information on mesothelioma treatment options, as well as a complete list of occupations, ships, and shipyards that could have put our Veterans at risk for developing a mesothelioma disease. Anthony Serio has decided to spend time at the San Francisco Airport on Christmas Day, and Roberta (Flag Lady) Roberts is doing the same at Oakland Airport. So far, Anthony will be joined by Keith Blakley and the Scouts. They are all there to catch any of our American Hero's coming home late for Christmas and the Holidays. Both Anthony and Flag Lady are looking to see if anyone wants to help (and does anyone want to do San Jose Airport?)
If you're interested in going to either SFO or Oakland, send me your name and preferred contact method, and I'll forward to Anthony or Flag Lady. If you want to be the primary at San Jose, let me know. Anyone in any other part of the country have an airport they want to cover?

Patty Lewis A4RM sends stockings to the Marines and Sailors in the most remote areas of Afghanistan. These Warriors are hundreds of miles away from a military base! They have no outside plumbing, many have no source of electri...city they live o...n MRE's, and sleep on the hard ground after hours of combat missions! We are a very unique organization. Most Military organizations focus on sending personal/individual care packages that mostly go to those living on a military base with basic human comforts. We support the needs and lift morale of entire battalions/units. Our focus is on those living in tents, caves and under the stars. We have very little time left before we ship our Christmas stockings and we still need to raise approx $100,000. Our ship out date to Afghanistan is November 22nd that is 3 days BEFORE Thanksgiving so as you can see our need is URGENT! It takes at least 4 weeks for the stockings to get to our Marines and Navy Corpsman in the most remote, dangerous areas of Afghanistan! Each Christmas stocking is valued at over $100.00 and contain gifts like: * Head Lamps * Weapon Cleaners * Candy * Sunflower Seeds * 5-Blade Razors * Beef Sticks * Rite in Rain Notepads * Hot Cocoa Please pass this onto your friends, family and co-workers. Together we CAN do this! Hello. I have recently launched a website that will help servicemembers and their families find others who are traveling in the same direction they are for 96's/leave/PCS/ etc so they can ride together and save some green.
www.militaryrideshare.com
It is a totally FREE site that can help families travel home more often for less money. As a former Marine and the wife of a former Marine, I was always looking for ways to help our family save money. I thought you might be able to help me get the word out through the use of your message board. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or comments. I appreciate your time and thank you in advance.

Here is the Bat Phone Alert we sent.
there are hundreds of thousands of combat veterans who need us. Angel Kassie, who works closely with the wounded at Walter Reed and the National Naval Medical Center explains, “If you look where I do, you will see what really matters: more and more wounded coming into our military treatment facilities, something the media seems to have ‘forgotten’ at a time when it needs to be more in the forefront than ever. “I have seen Heroes coming in severely wounded, only to show once again what true warriors they are when within days of injury they leave the hospital long enough to go to their buddy’s service—the buddy who was right next to them in the same battle they were injured in. I see so many older combat veterans that still need our assistance; just because they have physically come home from the war, does not mean they have mentally or emotionally.” > > “We are all in this together, and these men and women are our > husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, children, friends and most of > all, our heroes....” > > One of the best ways we can support them and let them know we are > there for them is through our wounded (First Response) backpacks, > and our Vet Packs.

Subject: Walt Disney World Salutes the U.S. Military! The attached Press Release provides you with highlights of our soon-to-be-announced "Disney's Armed Forces Salute". This event beginning on Sunday, January 4th and running through December 23rd, 2009 is sure to be a HUGE hit!
Both Air Force Central Ticket Program (San Antonio) and Military Ticket Program (San Diego) will be carrying the unique "Disney's Armed Forces Salute" ticket inventory. Feel free to contact your supplier to place your order. While "Disney's Armed Forces Salute" tickets will be available at our Theme Park front gates to qualified military, those particular tickets will be taxed, so we expect that this event will greatly increase your ticket office traffic.
****************************************************************************************** Dear Friends and Fellow Angels~~
As you all know I am not a fan of mass mailing my address book and seldom find a good reason to do it. That being said this is one of those times I have good reason.
I am hosting an event in the Philadelphia area. I know for many of you it is very far away but I ask you to take a moment to look at our event site. The Army/Navy Football game is a huge celebration of our military in this area. Held the first weekend in December it is always sold out before the general public can get tickets. Tickets go on sale first to the Admirals and Generals, then those who attend the Academies and then to supporters of the Army A Club and Navy Blue and Gold and by then there is nothing left for the general public.
Well this year, we have tickets and they are going to some of SAs finest. Not Admirals or Generals but ordinary Soldiers and Sailors, who signed and served with honor. They are infantry and MPs and gunners mates and masters at arms. They left their families and stood in sand, giving all and never worrying about reward for themselves.
To make this truly a weekend to remember for them, we are also hosting a benefit "pre game" party. This evening of fun, food, prizes and special guests will be held at Chickie's and Pete's by the stadium the night before. We have some great supporters for this event and hope to show our heroes a great time and raise funds for Soldiers' Angels programs as well.
I ask you all to take a look at our event web site. www.saarmynavyevent.com For those of you who are close, maybe you can come. For those of you who are far maybe you can sponsor a hero to attend. If you are like me, you are already busy Christmas shopping for your heroes and in this economy probably don't have much to spare. That's okay. Maybe you can just pass this along to someone you know or have everyone in the office kick in a dollar to sponsor just one hero. There is also some great little souvenir thank you for your service bills that you can purchase for just 10 dollars. These bills will fit nicely in your letters and allow you to thank your hero in a very unique way. The 10 dollars from each order of million dollar bills will go directly to Soldiers' Angels "Give a Vet some Tank Support" and will provide a 10 dollar gift card for gasoline to a vet that needs assistance with travel to a VA medical facility for out patient services. You will find these bills and the sponsorship of heroes on the products and services page of the event web site. .All donations for this event are direct SA donations and fully count as tax deductible
My dear friend, Master Chief Larry Van Schuyver, who along with his unit was once an SA hero in the sand, is providing T shirts and tote bags for this event. Now home from his last deployment he has started a shirt business and become an angel himself. Check out his site as well. www.sittinprettyusa.com maybe you'll find a great Christmas gift there. The Master Chief donates portions from every sale to the VA.
There is nothing that says America better than a good game of football and nothing celebrates our military better than the Army/Navy game. I hope this email finds you all happy and well. May you all have the most joyous holiday season and may all your heroes be safe and successful in their missions.
My sincerest thanks to all of you who take the time to visit our site Sheryl ********************************************************************* OPERATION LOVE FROM HOME http://www.operationlovefromhome.org/ Our mission at Operation Love From Home is to bring light to those who suffer and combat the darkness for us. We can never fully comprehend the hardships that our enlisted men and women endure while deployed to ensure our safety and freedom...but we can offer them the classic comfort of compassion, the simple gift of gratitude, and the knowledge that their countrymen at home are behind them, and that they will never be forgotten or taken for granted. ********************************************************************** ADDED 12/09/2008 Battalions need your help-Please help the troops
